A couple of weeks ago, I wrote about the loss of a dear friend. I am so sad today, because I have lost another friend. This darling man was called Alec, and he died 3 days ago at the age of 32.

Alec was a history buff, I nicked-named him “Baron Von Schneider” as his name was so German, but I usually called him Baron, or Baroni. In return, because of my being English, he always referred to me as “My Queen”.

Many times, while talking, we would change our conversation so that it sounded Medieval, and then laugh our heads off at how clever and silly we were.

Alec was always up to help people, he loved his family, and was so thrilled when he became an uncle to a little boy that was christened…..Baron. We couldn’t believe the irony in the fact that my nickname for him was now a real name in his family. We thought it was great! Alec was only 32, My sons are 30 and 34 and I can’t imagine losing them. My heart bleeds for Alec’s devastated family.

Hug your child today, for they cannot. We love you Alec. Jude
